Continued Closure of Georgetown Branch
KUALA LUMPUR, 6 January 2021: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will continue to close its Georgetown office and counters until further notice, after a number of staff tested positive for COVID-19. The affected staff are now receiving treatment for recovery while contact tracing is currently underway.
The EPF is taking the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of its employees and members of the public. All frontliners at the affected branch have taken the COVID-19 swab test, and if a staff displays symptoms, they will be required to undergo quarantine. All other branches will continue to strictly observe physical distancing and other preventive SOPs in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
Members who have made prior appointments to the EPF Georgetown branch are advised to log onto the Janji Temu Online facility to reschedule their visits to a later date. Members may also visit other EPF branches, which continue to operate as usual, or transact online via i-Akaun for selected services.
If members need further clarification, they can contact the EPF Contact Management Centre at 03-8922 6000 or refer to the EPF website at www.kwsp.gov.my.
