EPF Simpanan Shariah Records 50% Take-Up

KUALA LUMPUR, 2 November 2016: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) today announced that as at Monday, 31 October 2016, a total of 50.25 per cent, amounting to RM50.25 billion from the initial allocation of RM100 billion for Simpanan Shariah 2017 have been taken up since registration for the Simpanan Shariah was opened on 8 August 2016.

 

To date, an accumulated 503,734 registrations have been recorded for Simpanan Shariah. This averages to 167,911 registrations per month.

 

Members who intend to switch to Simpanan Shariah are encouraged to visit any of EPF’s 68 branches nationwide to avoid last-minute crowds in December.  The closing date for Simpanan Shariah 2017 will be on 23 December 2016, and also subject to the availability of the RM100 billion allocation, whichever is earlier.
