EPF TO REOPEN SABAH BRANCHES ON 2 NOVEMBER 2020

  • Counters to open from 9am – 2pm, offering limited services only

  • Members must have valid appointments made via Janji Temu Online (JTO)

  • Tawau branch to close temporarily from 2 to 3 November before reopening on 4 November 2020

KUALA LUMPUR, 1 November 2020: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will allow selected services for appointments to its branches across Sabah beginning Monday, 2 November 2020, from 9am to 2pm on weekdays. This is with the exception of the EPF Tawau branch, which will only reopen on 4 November 2020.

Despite the continued rise in COVID-19 cases, the decision to allow selected services in these branches is to assist members who require access to their savings. The latest summary of all EPF offices and counters affected by the current situation can be found in the Appendix.

In an effort to ensure the safety and health of its members, employers, and staff, the EPF will continue implementing the following measures:

A. Member visits can only be made by appointments via the Janji Temu Online facility within the EPF website www.kwsp.gov.my/janjitemu;

B. Appointments to Sabah branches will only offer the following services:

  • Age 50/ 55/ 60 Withdrawals
  • Thumbprint Verification for e-Pengeluaran

C. All members must go through a temperature screening and check in via MySejahtera prior to entering EPF premises;

D. All members must follow the EPF physical distancing measures during their entire visit in EPF premises;

E. Employers are urged to contact their respective Employer Advisory Officers for advisory and additional info; and

F. Members and employers are advised to opt for EPF’s online services, i-Akaun (Member) and i-Akaun (Employer), which are operating as usual.

The EPF is taking a very cautious stand with regards to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases around the country. While we understand the limitation on available services may pose some inconvenience to the public, we remain focused on prioritising the health and safety of our members and employers from different locations who visit our counters and offices every day.
