The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) would like to caution the public and its members over a fraudulent text message (SMS) purportedly from a credit service agency using EPF’s name. The EPF has been made aware that the SMS message is being circulated to mobile phone users alleging that AEON is collaborating with the EPF to obtain employers’ information for each customer.
The EPF stresses that the allegation is untrue and that it does not collaborate with any individuals or companies in such matters. The EPF will not reveal members’ and employers’ information to any third parties for commercial purposes as such information is strictly confidential.
