Members can transfer all or part of their savings from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3) and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) to Akaun Persaraan (Account 1) and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2).
This initiative was implemented to facilitate members in exercising self-discipline in managing their savings, with the aim of securing retirement readiness and addressing pre-retirement life cycle needs.

What is meant by the transfer between own EPF accounts?
Members can transfer all or part of their savings from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3) and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) to Akaun Persaraan (Account 1) and Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2). The transfer of savings only involves the member's own EPF account and transferred savings cannot be returned to the original account.
Why was the transfer between own EPF accounts introduced?

Who is eligible to transfer between EPF accounts?
EPF members who are eligible to transfer savings between their own EPF accounts are as follows:
i. Malaysian and Non Malaysian; AND
ii. Below 55 years of age; AND
iii. Have savings balance in Akaun Sejahtera or Akaun Fleksibel; OR
iv. Having new contributions credited to Akaun Sejahtera or Akaun Fleksibel
When can members transfer between their own EPF accounts?
This self-service transfer of savings between your own EPF accounts will be available anytime starting from 19 April 2025.
How can members apply for transfer of savings between their own EPF accounts?
Members can apply for transfers between their own EPF accounts via online through KWSP i-Akaun app, i-Akaun (Member) web portal, or through the Self-Service Terminal (SST) at all EPF offices.
Can members make combination of transfer between Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3) to Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) AND Akaun Persaraan (Account 1); or from Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) to Akaun Persaraan (Account 1)?
Yes, the following combinations of transfers are permitted:
i. Akaun Fleksibel to Akaun Sejahtera AND Akaun Persaraan; or
ii. Akaun Fleksibel to Akaun Sejahtera AND Akaun Sejahtera to Akaun Persaraan
iii. Akaun Fleksibel to Akaun Persaraan AND Akaun Sejahtera to Akaun Persaraan
iv. Akaun Fleksibel to Akaun Sejahtera AND Akaun Persaraan; AND Akaun Sejahtera to Akaun Persaraan
Note: Combination transfers are only applicable via the Self-Service Terminal (SST) channel.
What category of savings transfer are available?
There are two (2) category of savings transfers:
i. One-Time Transfer
ii. Recurring Transfer
What is meant by One-Time Transfer?
One-Time Transfer is the transfer of available savings balance from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3) and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) to Akaun Persaraan (Account 1) and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2).
Application must be made for each transfer, subject to eligible balance at the time of application.
For One-Time Transfer, what is the eligible amount that can be transferred?
The eligible amount that can be transferred is the current balance after deducting any pending approval of withdrawals and/or unpaid approved withdrawals by the EPF (if any) on the date of the transfer application.
Transfer of savings can be made entirely or partially. For transfers of full savings, the total amount will be transferred. For partial transfers, the transferred amount will exclude any cents.
What is the frequency of One-Time Transfer that members can make?
One-Time Transfer can be done at any time, subject to eligible balance at the time of application.
For One-Time Transfer, when will the transferred amount be updated in the member's account ?
The transferred amount will be updated immediately to the account of the member involved. Meanwhile, the contribution transfer information will be displayed in the member's statement the next day.

What is meant by Recurring Transfer?
Recurring Transfer is a transfer of new contributions from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3) and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) to Akaun Persaraan (Akaun 1) and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Akaun 2) based on the percentage (%) of transfer chosen by the member.
Members need to submit an application only once and the recurring transfer will be automatically executed for each new contribution credited continuously until the member makes a cancellation or changes the existing transfer percentage.
What are the allowed contribution categories for Recurring Transfers?
The allowed category contributions for Recurring Transfers are mandatory contributions and voluntary contributions.
For Recurring Transfer, when will the transferred amount be updated in the member's account?
The transferred amount will be updated to the member's account the next day. Meanwhile, the contribution transfer information will be displayed in the member's statement the following day.

Aminah submit a Recurring Transfer application from Akaun Fleksibel to Akaun Persaraan with a transfer rate of 50%.

Can members change their Recurring Transfer percentage?
Yes, members can change their Recurring Transfer percentage (%) at any time according to their needs and preferences. The updated percentage will take effect immediately and cancels the previously selected percentage.
Can members who have made One-Time Transfer apply for a Recurring Transfer and vice versa?
Yes, members can choose One-Time Transfer and Recurring Transfer subject to the stipulated terms and conditions.
Can members cancel Recurring Transfer?
Members can cancel Recurring Transfer at any time through the KWSP i-Akaun, i-Akaun (Member) web portal, and Self-Service Terminals (SST) at EPF Offices. The cancellation of the transfer will take effect immediately.
Can Recurring Transfer be cancelled automatically?
Recurring Transfer will be automatically cancelled under the following circumstances:
i. Member reaches 55 years of age.
ii. Approved application for full withdrawal:
- Death Withdrawal
- Leaving Country Withdrawal
- Pensionable Employees Withdrawal
- Incapacitation Withdrawal
Besides the KWSP i-Akaun app, i-Akaun (Member) web portal and SST channels, can members submit an application for transfer of savings through the KWSP counter?
One-Time Transfer: YES
Members can apply for a One-Time Transfer at the KWSP counter by completing and submitting Form KWSP 12 - Transfer of Savings to Retirement Account/Akaun Sejahtera.
However, members are encouraged to submit their applications online via the KWSP i-Akaun app, i-Akaun (Member) web portal, or SST.
Recurring Transfer: NO
Applications for registration and cancellation of Recurring Transfers can only be submitted through the KWSP i-Akaun app, i-Akaun (Member) web portal, or SST.
