General Terms and Conditions

THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS (“T&C”) SHALL GOVERN YOUR ACCESS AND USE OF THE WEBSITE, THE MOBILE APPLICATION, AND SERVICES MADE AVAILABLE ONLINE PROVIDED BY THE EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND BOARD.

BY ACCESSING THE SITE AND/OR USING THE SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS T&C. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS T&C, DO NOT ACCESS THE SITE.

FROM TIME TO TIME, WE MAY REVISE THIS T&C AND WE WILL PUBLISH THE REVISED T&C ON THE WEBSITE. IF YOU CHOOSE TO CONTINUE ACCESSING THE SITE WEBSITE AFTER ANY REVISION TO THIS T&C, YOU SHALL BE CONSIDERED TO HAVE ACCEPTED THE REVISED T&C ACCORDINGLY.

1. DEFINITIONS

a. Access Codes
Password and/or User ID and/or such other confidential authentication information that is required to access Your i-Akaun and/or the Services, whether in the form of words, codes, numbers, sets of characters or such other form or combination thereof, as may be prescribed by the EPF from time to time.
b. Administrator
A representative authorised by the Employer or Business Partner to have access and manage the Employer's or Business Partner's i-Akaun.
c. Bank Account
Member's and/or Employer's account with their respective bank.
d. Business Partner
Any organisations that have access to i-Akaun (Business Partner).
e. Checker
A person who validates and/or approves the service transactions provided by the Maker. The Checker is the person authorised to act on behalf of the Employer or the Business Partner.
f. Content
Information, including but not limited to personal identifiable information, sensitive personal data, materials, reports, records, logo, text messages, images, banners, videos, animations and forms as appeared or displayed on the Site and/or Services.
g. Employer
A person or an entity defined as “employer” under Section 2 of the EPF Act 1991.
h. EPF
Employees Provident Fund Board, a body corporate established under Section 3 of the EPF Act 1991.
i. EPF Act 1991
Employees Provident Fund Act 1991 (Act 452) and its amendments from time to time.
j. Fund
The fund set up under Section 24 of the EPF Act 1991.
k. i-Akaun
Online account that is available upon activation by the Member, Employer or Business Partner and is accessible via the Site.
l. i-Akaun User
Member, Employer, or Business Partner who has activated their i-Akaun.
m. Maker
A person who acts on behalf of the Employer or Business Partner to prepare the transaction and/or provide additional information for the Services provided in Employer’s or Business Partner’s i-Akaun. The Maker is the person who represents the Employer or the Business Partner.
n. Member
A person who has registered to become a member of the Fund.
o. Mobile Application
A software application or “app” downloaded and installed by You to Mobile Device(s) to access the Services as provided by EPF from time to time.
p. Mobile Device
Your portable devices, mobile phones or any electronic devices for the purpose of accessing the Services and/or Content.
q. Password
Means a confidential string of characters which must be keyed in for authentication of Your User ID and grant of access to Your i-Akaun.
r. User ID
Identification characters for the purpose of login to i-Akaun.
s. Services
All online services as made available from time to time on the Site.
t. Site
The Website and/or the EPF Mobile Application.
u. Transaction Record
Record that relates to the Employer's submission of the EPF monthly contributions particulars or clearance of Caruman Tanpa Maklumat Lengkap (CTML) to the rightful employees of the Employers and payment made by the Employers under the EPF Act 1991.

WhatsApp is a messaging application that allows users to send text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, as well as share images, documents, location, and other content. It is used as one of the communication channels between EPF and its members.

2. GENERAL TERMS AND ACCEPTANCE

a. The term "You" and "Your" shall refer to the general visitor and i-Akaun User of the Site, where applicable.
b. Notwithstanding and without prejudice to the generality of this T&C, You expressly agree that Your access to the Site and/or use of the Services shall be at Your own risk and You shall unconditionally assume all risks, incidental to or arising herein.
c. This T&C applies without limit or qualification to Your access and use of the Services on the Site or any part thereof.
d. In the event of a conflict between the English and Malay versions of this T&C, the English version shall prevail.
e. You agree and acknowledge that the features and functions of the Content and/or Services on the Website may differ from the Mobile Application.
f. You shall ensure that Your access and/or use of the Site and Services is made via an authorised and genuine Site. You agree that EPF shall not be responsible for any loss or damage as a result of You accessing unauthorised access and/or use of the Site and Services.
g. You agree to use a strong Password and keep it confidential AND are responsible for anything that happens to your i-Akaun unless you close it or report misuse.

3. RULES OF USE

a. You shall NOT use the Site, its Content and/or Services in any manner that could result in the breach of this T&C which includes:
  1. displaying any conduct or material which is unlawful, offensive, obscene, indecent, defamatory, seditious, abusive or hateful, false, racist and/or which may harass, distress or cause inconvenience to any person or invade another's privacy, constitutes an illegal threat or constitutes junk mail, encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any local, state, national or international law or regulation and/or use of any material or data in a manner which infringe any copyright, trademark or any intellectual property right;
  2. using material protected by trade secret without due authorisation;
  3. impersonating any person or entity including but not limited to an EPF official or host and/or falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting Your affiliation with a person or entity;
  4. unauthorised access or use of data, systems or networks including any attempt to prove, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network;
  5. monitoring without authority data or traffic on any network or system;
  6. using or attaching any viruses, Trojan horses, time bombs, worms, cancelbots or other means which could damage, interfere, intercept or expropriate any system and/or interfering with the service of any user, host or network including but not limited to mailbombing, flooding, database broadcast attacks or placing an unreasonable burden on EPF system(s);
  7. circumventing any user authentication or security of any host, network or account (cracking or hacking and/or attempting to crack or hack);
  8. reselling or providing the Site, its Content and the Services or any part thereof to another person or entity for profit or otherwise.
b. You acknowledge that the download and/or use of the Mobile Application shall be at your own risk and that the download and/or the use of the Mobile Application would be subjected at all times to these following additional terms;
  1. You shall not use the Mobile Application other than for the purpose of the Services or for other purposes determined by EPF.
  2. You shall be responsible for the use of the Mobile Application on Your Mobile Device.
  3. You shall not permit or enable any person to access the Mobile Application or leave your Mobile Device unattended in such a manner as to enable any person to access the Mobile Application.
  4. You shall not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code modification to modify and/or create derivative works of the Mobile Application, its updates and/or any part of the Mobile Application.
  5. You shall not in any way use the Mobile Application for purposes that would contravene any laws, statutes, regulations or by-laws of any applicable jurisdictions.
  6. You shall download the Mobile Application from the authorised Apple App Store, Google Play, Huawei App Gallery or other application stores approved by EPF.
  7. You shall not install or use the Mobile Application on a jail-broken or rooted device which would jeopardise the security features of the Mobile Device.
  8. You agree that EPF shall have the right to modify, change, update and vary the Mobile Application at any time for any reason whatsoever without notification to You.
  9. You agree that EPF shall not be liable for any loss or damage including any loss of profits, consequential, indirect, exemplary or special damages from damage, corruption and failure of the Mobile Device, hardware or software that You use in connection with the Mobile Application.
c. EPF may, at its absolute discretion, delete or amend the Site, Content, and/or Services from time to time.

4. CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

a. You accept that You are responsible for the confidentiality and use of Your Access Codes and that You shall at no time and under no circumstances share, disclose or reveal Your Access Codes to anyone, including the staff of EPF.
b. You undertake to observe and comply with all security measures prescribed by EPF concerning your Access Codes or generally in respect of the use of the Services.
c. By accessing the Site, its Content, and/or use of the Services, You hereby consented and authorised EPF to collect, retain and/or disclose information about You or any other information that You provide for the effectiveness of the Services.
d. Any information collected, retained and/or disclosed by EPF shall comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and any legislations, laws or regulations that shall come into place from time to time.
e. You agree to accept all associated risks while using the Services, which includes the possibility that the Site may be accessed by unauthorised third parties and You agree not to hold EPF liable for such:
  1. unauthorised access;
  2. any loss or damage suffered as a result thereof.
f. You shall undertake to observe all security measures concerning the protection of Your Access Codes in respect to the use of the Services.

5. INSTRUCTION

a. You hereby agree that any instruction(s) received by EPF upon the successful login of Your i-Akaun shall mean an authorisation for EPF to rely and act upon Your instruction(s).
b. You shall provide true, accurate and complete information when You give instruction(s) to EPF in relation to the Services. EPF is not responsible to verify the accuracy or correctness of the information that You provided to EPF.
c. You hereby agree that EPF may use cookies and similar technologies (herein referred to as “cookies”), to perform authentication when you use the Site. By using the Site, you accept the use of cookies by EPF and EPF may use these cookies to collect information about your use of the Site.
d. EPF reserves its absolute right and discretion not to execute Your instruction(s) if EPF deemed that such instruction(s) are inconsistent with any policies, procedures, laws or for any other reasons whatsoever.

6. PROPRIETARY AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

a. You acknowledge that the Content available on EPF’s Website, Mobile Application and Services is at all times belongs to EPF or the relevant third party vendor (as applicable) and protected by copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual and proprietary rights.
b. Your access to the Site and use of the Services does not grant you a license nor right to use any of the Content or trademark without prior written consent of EPF or the relevant third-party owner of the proprietary right thereof.

7. AMENDMENT

EPF reserves the right to update, modify and/or change this T&C from time to time. All updates, modifications and/or changes will be posted on the Website and Your continued use of the Site and/or use of the Services after such updates, modifications and/or changes will constitute Your adherence, acknowledgement and acceptance to the updated T&C.

8. LINKS

a. Links from or to any websites and/or applications outside the Site are meant for convenience only. Such linked websites and/or applications are owned and operated by third parties and are not under the control of EPF.
b. EPF shall not be responsible and gives no warranties or representations as to the comparability, accuracy, availability, comprehensiveness, completeness and timeliness in respect of the content of those websites and/or those applications, the third parties named therein or their products and services.
c. The links provided on the Site and/or Services shall not be considered as an endorsement, verification or approval of such linked websites and/or applications or content therein by EPF. Linking to any other site is at Your sole risk and EPF will not be responsible or liable for any damages in connection with such linking.

9. TRANSMISSION

a. EPF does not guarantee that any transmissions sent to EPF over the Site and/or Services is completely secure and free from any default, error and/or omission.
b. EPF is not responsible for any loss and/or damages incurred by any person in relation to the transmission through the Site and/or Services. Due to the nature of the internet, such transmission may be subject to interruption, transmission blackout, delayed transmission and incorrect data transmission.
c. EPF is not liable for any malfunctions in communication facilities that may affect the accuracy or timeline of the transmission.

10. INTERRUPTION OF THE COMPUTER SYSTEM

a. EPF shall not be liable for any interruptions, delays, failures, errors or omissions or loss of transmitted information, viruses or other contaminated properties or transmitted destructive properties and damages that occur to Your computer system, Your Mobile Device or any other electronic medium.
b. You will be responsible:
  1. to provide adequate protection and backup of data and/or equipment;
  2. to take reasonable and appropriate precautions to scan for computer viruses or other destructive properties.
c. EPF shall not be responsible for the accuracy, functionality or performance of any third-party software that may be used in connection with the Site and/or Services.

11. CHARGES/FEES

You agree and acknowledge that EPF reserves the absolute right at its sole discretion to impose charges or fees for the Services upon notice to You.

12. WAIVER

a. In the event that EPF fails or neglects to enforce any provisions or remedies under the T&C for whatever reason, EPF shall neither be construed as having waived its rights to enforce the same nor as having waived its rights to any continuing, succeeding or subsequent breaching of the same or any other provision in this T&C by You.
b. If any part of this T&C is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to any applicable laws, the invalid and unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid and enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the other provisions of this T&C shall continue in full force and effect.
c. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

13. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

a. EPF and/or its agents herein shall in no event be liable for any losses or damages howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or any other basis, including without limitation, direct and indirect damages, or loss of profits and/or savings arising in connection with Your access, use or the inability to access the Site and/or use of the Services (or any third-party hyperlinks to or from the Site), reliance on the information contained in the Site and/or use of the Services, any technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, the interruption, error, omission, delay in operation, computer viruses, or otherwise.
b. This exclusion clause shall take effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

14. TERMINATION

EPF reserves the right to terminate and/or suspend Your access to the Site and/or Your use of the Services at any time without prior notice if You do not comply with the T&C, violate EPF's or other users or any third-party’s rights, or committed any unlawful acts.

15. LAW AND JURISDICTION

a. This T&C shall for all intents and purposes be subjected to and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
b. By accessing the Site and/or using the Services provided herein, You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.

16. NOTICES

a. by electronic mail to Your last known e-mail address in EPF's records and such notification shall be deemed received within twenty-four (24) hours after sending.
b. by message to Your last known mobile number as registered for Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) in EPF's records and such notification shall be deemed received within twenty-four (24) hours after sending.
c. by broadcasting a message to Your personal inbox of Your i-Akaun.
d. by broadcasting a message to Your Mobile Device via push notification.

17. ACCOUNT INFORMATION

a. EPF does not warrant the accuracy and completeness of any information pertaining to Your Account(s) or transactions as reported through the Services. You must ensure that the information is true, accurate, complete and updated.
b. EPF accepts no liability whatsoever, including but not limited to any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages, loss of anticipated profits or other economic losses arising out of, in connection with or relating to the information contained in Your Account, its use or reliance.
c. You agree that the Information pertaining to Your Account or transactions as reported through the Services shall not for any purpose whatsoever be taken as conclusive of the status of Your Account or transaction.

18. SECURITY FEATURE (ONLY APPLICABLE TO THE EMPLOYER’S AND BUSINESS PARTNER’S i-AKAUN)

a. An Administrator may opt to use the Maker and Checker features for the Services. The Administrator also has authority to register any person as Maker and Checker.
b. Employer and Business Partner shall be solely responsible for the appointment of respective Administrator, Maker and Checker. EPF shall not be responsible for any loss or damage including for any loss of profits, consequential, indirect, punitive, exemplary or special damages arising from the appointment of the Administrator, Maker and Checker.
c. You shall be responsible in ensuring that any information submitted for any purpose through the Site is accurate, complete, updated and free from error. EPF does not give any warranty to the accuracy of information submitted by the Employer through the Site and shall not be liable for any inaccuracy and/or errors caused by the Employer.
d. In the event that You opt not to use the Maker and Checker features, EPF shall not be responsible for any loss or damage including for any loss of profits, consequential, indirect, punitive, exemplary or special damages arising therein.

19. PAYMENT

a. You shall ensure that there are sufficient funds at all times available in Your Bank Account to perform any payment transaction through i-Akaun.
b. You are fully responsible for any transaction made by You in relation to the Services including but not limited to the Transaction Record.
c. For those Employers who have payment arrangements with the banks, the Employers shall be bound with the process and procedures of the respective banks.

20. INDEMNITY

You shall indemnify and keep EPF indemnified against any losses or damages, costs, claims, fees (including solicitors fees on a solicitor and client basis) and all expenses incurred arising from any breach of any T&C of the Site and/or use of the Services caused by Your non-compliance, non-conformity, refusal exclusion of the steps and procedures in the Site and/or Services, negligence in the execution of Your obligation, infringement of any intellectual property rights in any part of the Site and/or Services and any liabilities that arise from Your gross negligence or wilful misconduct or from the non-compliance, non-conformity, refusal and exclusion of the steps and procedures in the Site, bodily injury, death of any person, or damage to any real or tangible personal property.

21. DISCLAIMER

a. The Content provided by EPF are on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, and are of a general nature. References to the Content contained in the Site include such material and information provided by third parties.
b. EPF does not warrant:
  1. the truth, accuracy, adequacy, reliability, completeness, reasonableness, currency or timeliness, of the Content contained in or accessed through the Site and expressly disclaims liability for any errors in or omissions therefrom;
  2. that the Content available through the Site or any functions associated therewith will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected or that the Website, Mobile Application and server is and will be free of all viruses and/or other malicious, destructive or corrupting code, programme or macro.
c. No warranty of any kind, express, implied or statutory (including but not limited to, warranties of title, merchantability, satisfactory quality, non-infringement of third-party intellectual property rights, fitness for a particular purpose and freedom from computer virus), is given in conjunction with the Content available through the Site.
d. In no event shall EPF or any third party content providers be liable for damages, expenses, costs or loss of any kind (including without limitation, any direct, or indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss of opportunity) howsoever caused as a result (direct or indirect) of, or in connection with the Site, or reliance on any Content contained in or accessed through the Site.
e. Under no circumstances shall EPF be liable for any failure of performance, system, server or connection failure, interruption, defect, error, omission, delay in operation or transmission, breach of security, malicious code, computer virus or inability or unavailability to use or access in connection with your accessing this Website, tools, and / or online services even if EPF or the third party content providers had been advised as to the possibility of the above.
f. The materials, information and functions provided shall not under any circumstances be considered or construed as an offer or solicitation to sell, buy, give, take, issue, allot or transfer, or as the giving of any advice in respect of the Services. You shall be responsible to evaluate the quality, adequacy, completeness, currentness and usefulness of the Services, Content and other information obtained or accessible through the Site. Further, you should seek professional advice at all times and obtain independent verification of the materials and information provided herein prior to making any purchase, withdrawals, investments, or commercial decision based on any such Content or information.
g. You shall not hold EPF liable for any damages including for any loss of profits, consequential, indirect, punitive, exemplary or special damages arising from any information used/obtained from the Site and/or for any information submitted/transmitted to the Site and/or Services.

1.1. Transfer Savings Between Own EPF Accounts

  1. This application is open to Malaysian / permanent resident of Malaysia (PR) / Non-Malaysian
  2. Applicants (EPF Member) must be below 55 years old
  3. Applicants must have savings balance in Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) or Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3)
  4. Applicants must have new contributions credited to Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) or Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3).
  5. The transferred of saving only involves the member’s own EPF account and amount shall not be returned to the original account
  6. Transfers from Akaun Persaraan (Account 1) to other EPF accounts are not allowed, as it is savings intended solely for retirement
  7. One-Time Transfer:
    1. One-Time Transfer is the transfer of all or part of the existing savings from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3) and / or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) to Akaun Persaraan (Account 1) and / or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2).
    2. Applications are subject to the eligible balance in the EPF Account after deducting any withdrawal pending approval and / or unpaid approved withdrawals by EPF (if any) on each date of the application. Application must be made for each transfer, subject to eligible balance at the time of transaction.
    3. Applicants can submit more than one application on the same day.
    4. The transferred amount will be updated immediately to the account of the member involved. Meanwhile, the contribution transfer information will be displayed in the member's statement the next day.
  8. Recurring Transfer:
    1. Recurring Transfer is a transfer of new contributions from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3)and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Account 2) to Akaun Persaraan (Akaun 1) and/or Akaun Sejahtera (Akaun 2) based on the percentage (%) of transfer chosen by the member.
    2. Applicants need to apply ONCE and the recurring transfer will be automatically executed continuously for each new contribution credited.
    3. Applicants can update the existing transfer percentage rate from time to time (if needed).
    4. Applicants can cancel the Recurring Transfer at any time and submit a new application if you wish to reactivate it.
    5. Recurring Transfer will be automatically cancelled under the following circumstances:
      1. Member reaches 55 years of age.
      2. Approved application for full withdrawal:
        1. Death Withdrawal
        2. Leaving Country Withdrawal
        3. Pensionable Employees Withdrawal
        4. Incapacitation Withdrawal

  1. This application is open to KWSP member who are Malaysian / permanent resident of Malaysia (PR) / Non-Malaysian (Registered as EPF Member before 1 August 1998).
  2. Applicant (EPF Member) must be above 18 years old.

  1. This application is open to only KWSP member who are Malaysian.
  2. Applicants (EPF Member) must be below 60 years old.
  3. To be eligible for government incentives under i-Saraan, the applicants must be self-employed.
  4. The eligibility for special incentives is subject to conditions determine by the Government.

2.4 i-Suri Registration

  3. To qualify for government incentives under i-Suri, the member must be registered under the Government’s eKasih database.
  4. The eligibility for special incentives is subject to conditions determine by the Government.

3.1 i-Sayang

Husband (Contributor)

  1. This application is open to be EPF member who are Malaysian / permanent resident of Malaysia (PR) / Non-Malaysian.
  2. Contributor (EPF Member) must be below 75 years old.
  3. The marriage must be registered under Malaysian law.
  4. Contributors will transfer 2% of the employee’s share of contributions received from the employer to the wife's EPF account.
  5. Contributors shall not make any claims in respect of the contributions that have been transferred to the recipient’s EPF account.
  6. Contributions will be cease in the event of dissolution of marriage or death of the wife.

 

Wife (Recipient)

  1. Recipient (EPF Member) must be a Malaysian.
  2. Recipient must be below 75 years old.
  3. The marriage must be registered under Malaysian law.

3.2 Voluntary Contributions

  3. The maximum accumulated limit for the following Voluntary Contributions across all payment channels is RM100,000 per year:
    1. i-Simpan (formerly known as Self Contribution / Contribution to Others)
    2. i-Topup
    3. i-Saraan Contribution 
    4. i-Suri Contribution
    5. Akaun Persaraan Top-up Savings Contribution
  4. Applicants shall not make any claims in respect of the contributions that have been paid.
  5. For Auto Simpan (formerly known as Recurring Voluntary Contribution):
    1. Applicants must authorise EPF to automatically debit their registered bank account for recurring i-Simpan contribution
    2. Applicants are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds in their registered bank account, as Auto Simpan deductions will fail if the balance in their registered bank account is insufficient.
    3. The authorisation of Auto Simpan remains valid until revoked until the applicant reaches 75 years old, or a full withdrawal is made (e.g., Death Withdrawal, Leaving Country).
  6. All contributions received after members reach the age of 55 will be credited to their Akaun Emas and can only be withdrawn when they reach the age of 60 through Age 60 Withdrawal. However, member is not permitted to make contributions after reaching the age of 75 years old.

To proceed with an online withdrawal, I am required to comply with the following e-Withdrawal eligibility criteria:

  1. Must be a registered EPF member.
  2. A valid i-Akaun login credential must be active.
  3. A mobile number must be registered /updated with EPF.
  4. An active current/savings bank account must be registered with EPF.
  5. An EPF withdrawal must have been made and credited into the registered active current/savings bank account within the last 5 years.
  6. Withdrawal transactions must be less than RM30,000.00 per day.
  7. The application is required to be submitted at EPF branches or Self-Service Terminals (SST) via thumbprint verification if e-Withdrawal criteria 1–6 are not met.

4.1 Akaun Fleksibel

    1. This application is open to be EPF member who are Malaysian / permanent residents of Malaysia (PR) / Non-Malaysian.

    4. Withdrawal of savings from Account 55 is only allowed to Fund Management Institutions (IPD) appointed by the EPF.

    6. Applicants must retain minimum savings of RM1000 in Akaun 55.

    1. This application is open to be EPF member who are Malaysian / permanent residents of Malaysia (PR) / Non-Malaysian.
    2. Applicants (EPF member) must be below 55 years old.
    3. Applicants must have savings in Akaun Sejahtera.
    4. This application can also be applied on behalf of applicant’s spouse / parent / sibling / children.
    5. Treatment bill / receipt must not exceed one (1) year from the date of withdrawal application.
    6. This application medical costs are not fully covered by the employer.
    7. Illness / Medical Aid equipment received as prescribed by doctors (in writing) from Medical Institution which are approved by EPF.
    8. The application will not cover any cost of alternative treatment for the stated critical illness.
  2. Fertility Treatment
    1. This application is open to be EPF member who are Malaysian/ permanent residents of Malaysia (PR) / Non-Malaysian.
    2. Applicants (EPF Member) must be below 55 years old.
    3. Applicants must have savings in Akaun Sejahtera.
    4. Applicants must a legally married couple (spouse).
    5. This application can also be applied on behalf of applicant’s spouse.
    6. Treatment bill / receipt must not exceed one (1) year from the date of application.
    7. The application will not cover any cost of any alternative fertility treatment.
    8. This application only covers these fertility treatments as follows:
      1. Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
      2. In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
      3. Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
    9. For application that has been partially covered by the applicant’s / spouse’s employer, you may only withdraw the remaining balance of the treatment cost that was not covered.
    10. For individual withdrawal application, the eligible withdrawal amount is subject to the actual treatment cost or the entire savings of Akaun Sejahtera, whichever the lower.
    11. For join withdrawal application, the eligible withdrawal amount is subject to the entire savings of Akaun Sejahtera or remaining balance of the treatment cost by applicant’s spouse, whichever the lower.

  6. Applicants must purchase residential houses for developer / sub-sale or auction units based on from these categories:

    2. Terrace
    3. Semi-detached
    4. Apartment
    5. Condominium
    6. Studio Apartment
    7. Service Apartment
    8. Townhouse
    9. Small Office Home Office (SOHO)
    10. Shop lot with residential unit
  7. Applicants who purchase residential house type Small Office Home Office (SOHO) are required to apply manually at the EPF office).
  8. Applicants must ensure approved loan are from recognized lender or self-financed (Certified financial institutions under the Financial Services Act 2013 or Islamic Financing 2013; Central / State Government or any other government financing institutions; member's employer; Licensed Corporation/ Cooperative bodies (approved by SKM); Insurance Companies licensed by Bank Negara; or other EPF recognized loan providers).
  9. Applicants have never made housing withdrawal or have made housing withdrawal previously but have sold or disposed of the property.
  10. For individual withdrawal with housing loan or self-financing, the eligible withdrawal amount is as follow:
    1. Housing Loan - Difference between purchase price and approved loan amount + 10% of the purchase price or entire savings in Akaun Sejahtera (whichever is lower).
    2. Self-Financing - The purchase price + additional 10% or entire savings in Akaun Sejahtera (whichever is lower).
  11. For joint withdrawal with housing loan or self-financing, the eligible withdrawal amount are as follows:
    1. Housing Loan - Difference between purchase price and approved loan amount + 10% of the purchase price or applicant's entire savings in Akaun Sejahtera (whichever is lower).
    2. Self-Financing - The purchase price + additional 10% or applicant's entire Akaun Sejahtera savings (whichever is lower).
  12. Submission of the Sales and Purchase Agreement and Housing Loan Approval Letter is required, OR Submission of Build House Agreement Letter, Land Title Letter and Housing Loan Approval Letter.
  13. EPF reserves the right to request for applicant’s thumbprint verification at the EPF Branch / Financial Institution based on Terms & Conditions.
  14. The following documents are required to be submitted:
    1. Form KWSP 9C (AHL) and Checklist.
    2. Form KWSP 3 (Pindaan) – for mail submissions/failed thumbprint verification.

  16. For first house with self-financing, applicants need to submit these additional documents as follows:
    1. Proof of Purchase – Sales and Purchase Agreement OR Proclamation of Sale from Administrator/ Court (Not more than 3 years from date of application).
    2. Proof of Payment - Receipt of payment of no less than 20% of the property price.
    3. Proof of Cash Purchase - Developer Confirmation Letter Regarding Cash Purchase containing property details.
    4. Proof of Construction - Architect's Certificate/ Payment Request Letter showing. the construction stage is not less than 20% OR Certificate of Fitness (CF) / Certificate of Occupation (CO)
    5. Proof of Relationship - Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate (Compulsory for joint withdrawal with spouse / parents-in-law / adopted parents / stepparents / child / stepchild / adopted child / siblings).
  17. For second house loan, applicants need to submit these additional documents as follows:
    1. Proof of Purchase - Sales and Purchase Agreement OR Proclamation of Sale from Administrator/Court (Not more than 3 years from date of application).
    2. Proof of Financing - Housing Loan Approval Letter or Housing Loan Approval Letter* and Housing Loan Agreement Letter/ Form 16A/ Title Deed under member's name that has been submitted as collateral to the financial institution (*if loan approval has exceeded one year).
    3. Proof of Relationship - Marriage Certificate OR Birth Certificate (Compulsory for joint withdrawal with spouse / parents-in-law / adopted parents / stepparents/ child/ stepchild/ adopted child/ siblings).
    4. Proof of Sale/ Disposal of first house - Verified by any one of these documents:

Ownership of Transfer Form KTN 14A in the name of the new owner completed by the Land Office or at least a completed and signed Ownership of Transfer Form KTN 14A with the submission receipt by the Land Office. (Note: Any proof of relationship must be submitted with transfer of house ownership based on love and affection - subject to immediate family members only: spouse, parents, parents-in-law, stepparents, foster parents, child, stepchild, adopted child or siblings); or
      2. Deed of Assignment AND Letter of Confirmation from buyer/ seller's lawyer stating that the Notice of Assignment has been submitted to the developer in accordance with the Section 22D (2) Housing Developer Act (Control and Licensing) Amendment 2007 (only for buy or sell process after 12 April 2007) or
      3. Deed of Assignment between you and the new owner which has been completed and with stamp duty (or produce the stamp receipt) of 1% of the sale price, OR
      4. Title Deed in the new owner's name AND Sale and Purchase Agreement between you and the new owner or
      5. Real Property Gain Tax Form 5/ 5A AND Sale and Purchase Agreement between you and the new owner) or
      6. Proclamation of Sale from Administrator (Form KTN 16I)/ Proclamation of Sale from Court (Form KTN 16F) or
      7. Confirmation by auction bank on property auction or
      8. Transfer of ownership by Court Order to any party and divorce documents (for divorce cases) or
      9. A formal search from the Land Office indicating the name of the new owner of the said property and Sale and Purchase agreement between you and the new owner; or
      10. Confirmation letter from the authorities (Housing and Local Government Ministry/ Municipal Councils/ District Offices/ Penghulu) for houses damaged by natural disasters; or
      11. Confirmation letter from the Housing and Local Government Ministry/ State Government for abandoned housing projects/ troubled housing projects/ ailing housing projects or
      12. Deed of Revocation or Deed of Rescission for the first house or Confirmation of Cancellation Letter from the developer/ lawyer or
      13. Assessment Bills issued by the Municipal Council/ local authorities in the name of the new owner and Sale and Purchase agreement between you and the new owner; or
      14. Confirmation letter for houses damaged by fire and because of losing a home issued by approved authorities, such as the Fire and Rescue Department/ Royal Malaysia Police/ Local authorities/ Municipal Council/ Head of Village and other approving authorities; dan additional documents such as scene photos or other documents to support the application (if necessary).
  18. For second with self-financing, applicant need to submit these additional document as follows:
    1. Proof of Purchase – Sales and Purchase Agreement or Proclamation of Sale from Administrator/ Court (Not more than 3 years from date of application).
    2. Proof of Transaction - A confirmation letter from a lawyer's office who manages the sales and purchase transaction. The letter must contain details of the property and that the purchase was made in cash.
    3. Proof of Payment - Receipt of payment of no less than 20% of the property price.
    4. Proof of Construction - Architect's Certificate/ Payment Request Letter showing the construction stage is not less than 20% OR Certificate of Fitness (CF) / Certificate of Occupation (CO).

    2. The construction cost + additional 10% OR applicant's spouse entire savings in Akaun Sejahtera (whichever is lower).
  10. Applicants must ensure construction agreement is dated less than three (3) years from the date of withdrawal application.
  11. The following documents are required to be submitted:
    1. Form KWSP 9C (AHL) and Checklist.
    2. Form KWSP 3 (Pindaan) – for mail submissions/ failed thumbprint verification.
    3. Copy of identification documents with original for verification (Non-MyKad holders only).

  13. For first house with self-financing, applicants need to submit these additional documents as follows:
    1. Proof of Ownership - Land Purchase Agreement (if the date of the agreement is within 2 years from the date of the House Construction Agreement) and Land Title Deed/Land Search (Catatan Carian Rasmi) in member/spouse’s name (if the agreement is under spouse's name, please produce proof or relationship).
    2. Proof of Construction - Construction Agreement under member/ spouse's name or both (for joint builds) or Letter of Oath – must include property details, home type, build start date and construction cost with RM10.00 revenue stamp Construction Agreement date should not be more than 3 years from application.
    3. Proof of Payment - Receipt of payment of no less than 20% of the construction cost (i.e Purchase receipt/ bill of building materials or Receipt of labour cost for build or Confirmation of payment from contractor - All proof must be dated not more than 3 years from application date).
    4. Proof of Construction (2) - Architect’s Certificate/ Payment Request Letter (Construction by certified contractor and architect) for construction progress of no less than 20%.
    5. Proof of Approval:
      1. Property under Municipal Council’s jurisdiction - Approval Letter to build the house by the local authority or complete building plan with the local authority’s approval.
      2. Property not under Municipal Council’s jurisdiction – Confirmation Letter for homes built outside the Municipal Council’s jurisdiction by the local authorities/ Head of Village/ Village Committee members and building plan and home construction site plan.
    6. Proof of Location in which, location plan of said construction (only for houses that are built outside the municipal council’s jurisdiction).
  14. For second house loan, applicants need to submit these additional documents as follows:
    1. Proof of Financing - Housing Loan Approval Letter* and Housing Loan Agreement/ Mortgage Form 16A/ Deed of Assignment/ Title Deed in the name of the member and charged to the loan provider (*if loan approval has exceeded one year).
    2. Proof of Ownership - Land Purchase Agreement (If the agreement is under spouse's name, please produce proof or relationship) and Land Title Deed/Land Search (Catatan Carian Rasmi) in member/spouse’s name.
    3. Proof of Construction - Construction Agreement (Construction Agreement date should not be more than 3 years from application) under member/spouse's name or both (for joint builds) or Letter of Oath – must include property details, home type, build start date and construction cost with RM10.00 revenue stamp.

    5. Proof of relationship - Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate. Compulsory for joint withdrawal with spouse / parents / parents-in-law / adopted parents / stepparents / child / stepchild / adopted child / siblings.
    6. Proof Sale/ Disposal of first house. Verified by any one of these documents:

    2. Proof of Construction - Construction Agreement (Dated not more than 3 years from date of application) and Land Sales and Purchase Agreement (Dated within 6 months of the Construction Agreement).
    3. Proof of Ownership - Land Title Deed with the seller/proprietor’s name.

    5. Proof of Verification - Developer Confirmation Letter regarding cash purchase. Must contain information on the details of the property.

4.8 Housing (Instalment)

  1. This application is open to be EPF member who are Malaysian/ permanent residents of Malaysia (PR) / Non-Malaysian (Registered as EPF Member before 1 Aug 1998).
  2. Applicants (EPF Member) must be below 55 years old.
  3. Have a minimum balance of RM600 in Akaun Sejahtera.
  4. This application can also be applied on behalf of applicant’s spouse.
  5. Applicants must purchase residential houses for developer / sub-sale or auction units based on from these categories:
    1. Bungalow
    2. Terrace
    3. Semi-detached
    4. Apartment
    5. Condominium
    6. Studio Apartment
    7. Service Apartment
    8. Townhouse
    9. Small Office Home Office (SOHO)
    10. Shop lot with residential unit
  6. Applicants who purchase residential house type Small Office Home Office (SOHO) are required to apply manually at the EPF office).
  7. Applicants must ensure approved loan are from recognized lender or self-financed (Certified financial institutions under the Financial Services Act 2013 or Islamic Financing 2013; Central / State Government or any other government financing institutions; member's employer; Licensed Corporation/Cooperative bodies (approved by SKM); Insurance Companies licensed by Bank Negara; or other EPF recognized loan providers).
  8. Applicants must ensure monthly instalments have been commenced with the bank prior to this application.
  9. For individual withdrawal with housing loan and self-financing, the eligible withdrawal amount are based on total housing loan balance or entire savings in Akaun Sejahtera (whichever is lower subject to a minimum monthly payment of RM100 for a period of six (6) months).
  10. For joint withdrawal with housing loan, the eligible withdrawal amount for applicants is the total housing loan balance or the entire savings in Akaun Sejahtera after deducting the amount by applicant’s spouse (whichever is lower subject to a minimum monthly payment of RM100 for a period of six (6) months).
  11. Withdrawal is limited to one house per applicant. If you have sold the house or fully settled the outstanding loan, you are not eligible to make this withdrawal for another property.
  12. Applicants may make a Housing Loan Monthly Instalment Withdrawal and a Reduce/Redeem Housing Loan Balance Withdrawal simultaneously.
  13. Withdrawal applications may be submitted up to thirty (30) days prior to the instalment due date. Disbursement of withdrawal payments shall commence only after the actual instalment date.
  14. Monthly instalment payments must be scheduled to end before the member attains fifty-five (55) years of age. Consequently, the maximum age to apply for this withdrawal is fifty-four (54) years and six (6) months.
  15. Applicants with Non-Performing Loan (NPL) status are permitted to apply for this withdrawal, provided that monthly payments are made via banker’s cheque directly to the loan provider.
  16. For refinanced loans, the eligible loan balance shall be determined based on either the original housing loan payment from the first loan financier or the latest loan balance, whichever is lower. In cases involving multiple financiers, the loan redemption letter shall be compared against the latest balance to determine the eligible withdrawal amount.
  17. For subsequent withdrawals, applicants may apply as early as thirty (30) days before their final monthly instalment payment.
  18. The withdrawal amount will be taken from the Sejahtera Account and will be deposited into the Special Account for your monthly loan repayment, and the dividend will be credited to your Sejahtera Account after the annual dividend declaration.
  19. EPF reserves the right to cancel applicant’s monthly payment withdrawal if the housing loan has been fully settled, the house has been sold, auctioned, or ownership transferred to another party, or if the applicants is found guilty of fraud by submitting false documents or information.
  20. The following documents are required to be submitted:
    1. Form KWSP 9C (AHL) (Not MyKad holders only).
    2. Copy of identification documents with original for verification (Non-MyKad holders only).
    3. Bank book or copy of bank account statement.
    4. Housing Loan Balance Statement according to EPF format OR Statement of balance of housing loan from LPPSA (Balance Statement Date not exceeding 1 month/ 3 months (LPPSA) from the date of application received - Subject to the first and subsequent withdrawals, with or without refinancing. If there is more than one refinancing, you are required to present the Loan Agreement document and the Debt Settlement letter from the previous lender).
    5. Sale and Purchase Agreement/ Proof of Mortgage/ Surrender of Ownership (Mortgage Form & Title Deed) – if the information in the Housing Loan Balance Statement is incomplete.
    6. EPF Form 3 (Amendment) – for delivery by post/ if thumbprint verification fails.

4.9 Housing (Reduce/ Redeem)

  18. The following are the additional eligibility for any application for joint withdrawal (PR / Non-Malaysian):
    1. Spouse must undertake loan to buy/build house.
    2. Spouse must buy/build a house and take out a loan.
    3. The member can be a borrower or a non-borrower for the purchase of the house.
    4. The house has been mortgaged as collateral for a housing loan.
    5. The house is wholly owned by the couple or jointly owned by the spouse / spouse.
    6. Members are required to submit proof of husband / wife relationship, namely Marriage Certificate/Marriage Certificate or Childbirth Certificate.
    7. Members can make withdrawals to reduce the loan balance for any existing home for themselves or their spouse (husband/wife/wife), subject to withdrawal once a year.
    8. If the member has never made an expense to buy or build a house, the member is eligible to make any type of housing withdrawal.
  19. Applicants are not eligible to apply if:
    1. The purpose of the loan is to renovate, repair or do additional work to an existing home or for personal purposes.
    2. Loan in the form of overdraft.
    3. Loan taken from an individual.
    4. Loan to reduce or settle for a third home loan.
    5. Loan to reduce or settle the balance of a home loan purchased abroad.

4.10 Housing (Flexible)

  1. This application is open to be EPF member who are Malaysian/ permanent residents of Malaysia (PR).
  2. Applicants (EPF Member) must be below 54 years old.
  3. Applicants must purchase/built residential house for developer / sub-sale or auction units based on from these categories:

    3. Semi-detached
    4. Apartment

    9. Small Office Home Office (SOHO)
    10. Shop lot with residential unit
  4. Applicants who purchase residential house type Small Office Home Office (SOHO) are required to apply manually at the EPF office).
  5. Applicants must have housing loan from recognized lender (Certified financial institutions under the Financial Services Act 2013 or Islamic Financing 2013; Central / State Government or any other government financing institutions; member's employer; Licensed Corporation/Cooperative bodies (approved by SKM); Insurance Companies licensed by Bank Negara; or other EPF recognized loan providers).
  6. Applicants must ensure savings in Akaun Sejahtera is solely purpose for this withdrawal only except withdrawal age 55 / Death / Disability / Leaving the Country or Retirement Employee Withdrawal.
  7. For applicant who never made any housing withdrawal (first time application), the following documents are required to be submitted:
    1. EPF Form 9C (AHL) and Document Checklist.
    2. Bank loan verification letter.
    3. EPF Form 9Q (1).
  8. For applicant who made a housing withdrawal but lost the right to the house (first time application), the following documents are required to be submitted:

  9. For applicant who made a reduction payment / settlement of a home loan for a spouse and / or monthly instalment withdrawal of a housing loan (first time application), the following documents are required to be submitted:

    3. EPF Form 9Q (1).
  10. For applicant who made for same property withdrawal (subsequent application), the following documents are required to be submitted:

4.11 Housing (PR1MA)

  1. This application is open to be EPF member who are Malaysian.
  2. Applicant (EPF Member) must be below 55 years old.
  3. Part or all the savings from the Sejahtera Account (minimum RM50) may be withdrawn.
  4. Applicants must be PR1MA homebuyers.
  5. Applicant’s housing loan shall be obtained through the PR1MA Flexible Financing Scheme (SPEF).
  6. Applicants have never made housing withdrawal or never made housing withdrawal but has sold / relinquished the property title.
  7. Applicant pre-retirement withdrawals under Akaun Sejahtera will be restricted whenever this application is made except for Age 55; makes a Pensionable Employees / Incapacitation / Leaving the Country Withdrawal / Death Withdrawal; or with written instruction from the financial institution.
  8. For Akaun Sejahtera balance, which is less than the monthly payment amount requested, the EPF will pay the full amount in your Akaun Sejahtera (subject to a minimum payment of RM50).
  9. For applicant who upon reaching age 55 and qualifying for retirement withdrawal, you are responsible for settling the outstanding loan with the financial institution for your PR1MA house.
  10. For applicants who home that has been sold through foreclosure proceedings, the restriction on the savings of the Sejahtera Account will continue unless written instructions are obtained from the financial institution.

4.12 More Than RM1 Million+

  3. Applicants must have savings in Akaun Sejahtera.
  4. This application can be applied on behalf of applicant’s spouse / parent / children.
  5. Applicants must be present at the EPF branch for thumbprint verification and / or submission of additional documents, if required.
  6. Applicants must ensure the study level is within this category:
    1. PHD, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Diploma; or
    2. Professional Certificate (Level 3 or higher); or
    3. Skills / Vocational or equivalent qualification
  7. For Professional Certificate (Level 3 or higher), applicants must ensure the level of study must be accredited by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK).
  8. Applicants must ensure that the student (applicant / spouse / parent / children) is enrolling or has completed studies in Higher Learning Institution (HLI) or has an outstanding education loan with Education Loan Provider (ELP).
  9. The approved level of study is based on the withdrawal eligibility requirements stipulated by the EPF.
  10. Applicants shall bear any risk of foreign currency exchange losses on payments, if applicable.
  11. For application which is made on behalf of another person spouse / parent / children, the applicant must be ready with supporting documents to confirm their relationship.
  12. Do not receive any sponsorship/ loan for education OR only receive partial sponsorship/ loan for education (full sponsorship/ loan are not eligible for education withdrawal).
  13. Member / Member’s children / Spouse / Parents who quit / failed / did not graduate / withdrawn from approved education institution (To pay for all overdue payment fully to higher learning institutions within 3 years starting from the termination of education; and settle remaining education loan with loan provider institutions).
  14. Categories:
    1. Tuition Fees:
      1. Withdrawal to finance your tuition fees.
      2. Withdrawal to finance your children/ spouse/ parents’ tuition fees.
      3. Joint withdrawal with your spouse to finance your children’s tuition fees.
      4. Joint withdrawal with your spouse to finance your spouse’s tuition fees.
    2. Student loan:
      1. Withdrawal to finance your outstanding education loan.
      2. Withdrawal to finance your children’s outstanding education loan.
      3. Withdrawal to finance your spouse or parents’ outstanding education loan.
  15. Tuition Fees:
    1. Withdrawals may be made every semester or academic year, or within three years from the course end/quit/failed date for outstanding payments to be settled with the higher learning institution.
    2. Documents needed to apply:
      1. MyKad OR original identification document.
      2. Payment receipt of tuition fee from IPT and.
      3. Form KWSP 3 (Pindaan) – for mail submissions/ failed thumbprint verification.
      4. Student's enrolment confirmation letter.
      5. Reimbursement of flight ticket (Eligible for one way ticket for IPT student during first year student registration only).
      6. Proof of relationship (If the applicant is not a student).
