Responsibilities Of Service Providers

Service Providers under the e‑hailing and/or p‑hailing sectors must make i-Saraan Plus contributions on behalf of their workers through the i-Akaun (Employer). This is to enable the members to qualify for a special incentive of 20% (up to a maximum of RM600 per year) of the total voluntary contributions made in the current year.

Payment Methods

Service providers under the e‑hailing and/or p‑hailing sector are required to make contribution payments on behalf of their workers through the i-Akaun (Employer).
 

Note: i-Saraan Plus participants are also allowed to make voluntary contributions through existing channels to maximise the total government matching incentives.

With the introduction of i-Saraan Plus, will i-Saraan still continue?

Yes. The i-Saraan programme will continue for self-employed individuals and those in the informal sector, such as small business owners, freelancers, and individuals outside the formal workforce.

In summary:

p-hailing:

  • p-hailing refers to the service of delivering food, drinks, or parcels. Orders are received via mobile applications, requiring the rider to collect items from a vendor and deliver them to a customer.

How can a member join i-Saraan Plus?

Can public service employees under the pensionable service scheme participate in i-Saraan Plus?

When does the i-Saraan Plus lifetime special incentive limit of RM6,000 come into effect?

The i-Saraan Plus lifetime special incentive limit of RM6,000 applies to contributions made through service providers under the e-hailing and/or p-hailing sector, starting from 2026 for members newly qualify for i-Saraan Plus.

For existing members who qualify for i-Saraan Plus and have previously received i-Saraan incentives, the lifetime special incentive limit will be increased to RM6,000, calculated based on incentives received since 2024.


Can i-Saraan Plus participants eligible to receive the special i-Saraan incentive and the i-Saraan Plus incentive at the same time?

Members can register Auto Simpan through the KWSP i-Akaun app or the i-Akaun (Member) web portal to enable automatic monthly contributions via DuitNow AutoDebit.

  1. Log in to the KWSP i-Akaun app or i-Akaun (Member) web portal
  2. On the Home page, click the Savings tab; 
  3. Click on "Increase Your Savings"
  4. Select “Activate Auto Simpan”
  5. The Auto Simpan introduction screen will be displayed. Click “Continue”
  6. Set your contribution amount and monthly deduction date; 
  7. Select your bank; 
  8. Confirm your contribution details, tick to agree with the Terms & Conditions, and click “Continue”
  9. Log in to your bank account to authorise the Auto Simpan registration; 
  10. A confirmation message will be displayed. Click “Done” to complete the Auto Simpan registration process.
